We are the nation’s oldest veterans’ service organization auxiliary.
For more than 100 years, we have been serving veterans, the military and their families in countless ways.

VFW Auxiliary members are the relatives of those who have served
Our organization is comprised of members from all walks of life with a common connection: all are relatives of those who served overseas in a location of foreign conflict.
Nearly 470,000 members in more than 3,600 Auxiliaries across the nation work to improve the lives of veterans, service members and their families, and their communities in a variety of ways.
VFW Auxiliary members are... husbands, wives, widowers, widows, fathers, mothers, grandfathers, grandsons, granddaughters, brothers, and sisters of persons who were or are eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
Stepchildren were removed from the eligibility language - they are still eligible. Per VFW ruling, stepchildren are children. There is to be no distinction between them.
Members must be citizens of the United States and at least 16 years old.
